I’m convinced that as a practice, Design plays an irreplaceable role in the essential process: Uncovering the human need relevant to the problem at hand, discovering or imagining the experience that satisfies that need, and designing that solution into being.
I’m an Experience Designer living in the Hudson Valley, most recently serving as CVP, UX strategy and Design at New York Life Insurance in New York City (formerly at AIG, Bayer Diabetes Care, FCB, and Hearst Publishing before that).
My background is in Digital Design, Brand Experience, and Visual Storytelling. I have used those skills in leading teams to deliver well researched, elegantly designed, highly engaging, and award-winning online experiences to world-class global brands.
Prior to my career in Digital, I provided illustrations to many of New York's Publishing Houses (cover art & textbook illustration), Magazines (including 2 covers for Forbes) and Advertising Agencies.
When not using design to improve the lives of my fellow humans, I can be found painting landscapes and portraits, photographing the beautiful Hudson Valley, and making various experimental sauces, powders, and dry-rubs from the hot peppers I grow (my Hickory-Smoked Ghost Pepper, Garlic & Onion powder is amazing).
